Support comes from many circles.

The recent launch of the Geelong Supercats Women’s squad into the national Competition (SEABL) has brought about renewed enthusiasm and opportunities for local businesses that support the grass roots development of sport in Geelong.

One such company is Icon Global, with its carelink+ software catering for the community care sector with close links to our community through local organisations such as St Laurence, Karingal, Lifeline, UnitingCare and numerous government agencies. Who have come on board in 2011 to partner Basketball Geelong’s Big V program, namely the youth league men and women’s teams.

Icon Global operate with a head office in Geelong as a locally owned and operated organisation. This national company has a history of long term support for junior sports development in Geelong and with basketball including local club Pivot City and Basketball Geelong.

“Being a Geelong based and owned company we like to support grass root sports and activities as a contribution to the community which gives children and youth a structured way to be involved in the positive activity”

The support from companies such as Icon Global assist in the creation of long term programs that develop a healthy well being attitude and lifestyle for children from all communities

Established in Geelong in 1996 Icon Global is one of many local companies who are choosing to support sports programs that show an active inclusiveness with the community, becoming partners rather than sponsors.

Local Businesses are welcome to contact the St Laurence Geelong Supercats to discuss opportunities to partner our growing community engagement programs on 52771711.
