Top Scorers: T. Dow 20, A. Motiani 13, B. Mayes 11
Coach’s Comment: “This game was a tight affair all night; both teams had slight leads only to see the opposition claw back into the game. With only seconds left in the final quarter and scores tied at 59 a piece Geelong fought hard for a rebound and launched a long pass for a quick score to win the game. The boys will feel more confident after another win, yet they know they have more improvement left in them.”

Geelong Cats 37 lost to Warrandyte 56

Coach’s Comment: "Bad habits that are honed in domestic basketball cannot be replicated into representative basketball and be expected to get results. Poor decision making and costly turnovers again cost us dearly."

Top Scorers: Z. McKeegan 8, S. DiGiacomi 7, E. Braslis 6, Q. Murphy 6
Coach’s Comment: “Travelling to Knox, who were the other undefeated team in our pool, was always going to be a tough challenge. We played a fantastic team game for four quarters and came away with the points.”
Victorian Junior League One
Under 18 Boys
Geelong Cats 52 def. Melbourne (2) 40
Top Scorers: M. Pigott 13, A. Ferrante 13, T. Read 5
Coach’s Comment: “We started well and showed more composure by getting the ball through hands in offence to maximise our scoring opportunities. Our ability to score constantly, coupled with good back court pressure, frustrated Melbourne and allowed us to control the game. Some quick goals by Melbourne in the last minute reduced our winning margin which in the end does not reflect our overall control of the game.”

Geelong Cats 27 lost to Altona (2) 30
Top Scorers:
Coach’s Comment: "Geelong was dominant for the first 30 minutes and even though we lost players due to injury couldn't put the opposition away. In the last 10 minutes there were too many turnovers and unfortunately lost in a tense finish. All girls put in a fantastic effort with Shaan Blythe and Montana DeGiacomi the standouts.

Coach’s Comment: "A great turnaround from six weeks ago when we lost to them by over 10 points. Our defensive intensity won us this game. Our guards forced bad pass after bad pass and our talls were also outstanding, ensuring their much bigger opponents had very little impact on the game."
