Coach’s Comment: “Geelong’s first half shooting percentage on our home court was low forcing the boys to fight hard to keep the scores close heading into the final quarter. A great team effort on defence and an improvement in our shot selection resulted in a solid win against the Country Victorian title holders from Bendigo. This game was a showcase of talent with both teams possessing plenty of state players to keep an eye out for in the future.”

Coach’s Comment:  “After a good first half, we again dropped off the momentum in the second half to allow Frankston to gain a pretty easy win.  Failure to capitalize on very makeable shots and the unwillingness to absorb contact while trying to make layups, kept us from keeping the pressure on. Again we were well served by Stacey Geelhoed and Bronte Burke, with Sarah Welfare making a welcome return from injury.”
