Tickets on sale now for Boomers Farewell Series
Tickets are now on sale for the highly-anticipated Australian Boomers Farewell Series: Basketball’s Road to London at the Geelong Arena.
Fans will get the chance to see their Boomers’ a heroes in action at The Geelong Arena on Wednesday June 27 as they prepare for London.
The Boomers, led by NBA and European-based stars Patty Mills, Aleks Maric and Brad Newley, NCAA College star Matthew Dellavedova as well as NBL stars such as Mark Worthington and Adam Gibson, take on FIBA’s fourth-ranked Greece in a pivotal pre-Olympic battle.
Basketball Australia Interim CEO Scott Derwin said that there is no better time than the upcoming Farewell Series for basketball fans to come out and see their favourite Aussie basketball players in action.
“The Australian Boomers and Jayco Opals will be heading into the upcoming Farewell Series towards the latter part of their extensive London 2012 preparations,” he said.
“So, although the Series will give our coaches and teams the great opportunity to put some final pieces in place against some quality opposition in Greece and Brazil, it also gives our fans the opportunity to see their stars, not only in absolute pristine physical condition, but also at their peaks in terms of on-court basketball performance,” he said.
“So we urge all basketball fans to get out and see their Boomers' and Jayco Opals' teams at their scintillating best,” he said.
A wide variety of tickets and ticket packages are available for the double-header through Foxtix, with adults starting from $25 and concession/children from $15.
