However it was the Pivotonians who consolidated second spot on the ladder with a 61-60 victory.

Jason Reardon was best for the winners with 22 points, while James Walker nailed 13.

Christian College moved into the top four with a 74-72 result against Vytis.

Marcus Larcombe and SEABL Supercat Nathan Freind shared the scoring honours for the Eagles with 19 points apiece.

Michael Rebula (30 points) and Steve Wiasak (21 points) almost carried the Knights to victory.

Four players scored in double figures as Try Boys extended its winning start to the season to eight with a 91-56 result against Tigers.

Paul Hutchison was again the architect of the Bears victory, finishing with 27 points.

Ben Scannell was again impressive for Tigers, who were without playing-coach Simon Evans, scoring 20 points.

A vintage performance from veteran guard Vicki King helped YMCA replace Dolphins in the top four with a 50-48 victory in the closest contest of the night in the GBL Division 1 women’s competition.

The Big V Lady Supercats’ stalwart had 20 points, and was well supported by sister Kathy Mallon, who shot 11.

Cortney Williamson was again Dolphins’ leading light, finishing with 19 points.

Rovers made it seven straight wins with a 70-42 result against Sharks.

Young guns Jess Watson (19 points) and Ellie Stevens (14) were again impressive for Rovers.

Georgia Varley paced Sharks with 12 points.

Anisa Sijersic continues to firm as MVP favourite after exploding for 31 points in Try Boys 79-48 smashing of Lara.

Katherine Brockett proved a handy foil, knocking down 22 points.

Jo Chambers (15 points) was best for the Giants, who were missing inside pair Caitlin Shadbolt and Jess Barnard.
