Basketball Geelong has today announced that the Boomers match v Greece on Wednesday 27 June at the Arena has been sold out for general admission with only a limited number of corporate hospitality packages available.

The Geelong match will be the final game for the Boomers in their Farewell Series before leaving for London. The Farewell Series kicks off with a double-header (with the Opals playing Brazil) at Melbourne's Hisense Arena this Sunday June 24.

In conjunction with the game Basketball Geelong, the City of Greater Geelong and the Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be hosting a “Doing Business with Greece Networking Event” which will also include many prominent Geelong community leaders. There are limited tickets available to this event and corporate hospitality which is available via www.foxtix.com.au.

Basketball Geelong Chief Executive Officer Andrew Scotford says the sellout highlights both the interest in the Boomers in the lead-up to London as well as the profile that it brings to regional Victoria.

“Basketball has engaged with the sporting, community and business people of Geelong and we have reached our capacity at this venue,” Scotford said.

“Last weekend saw the Geelong Supercats double header also sell out as more and more people enjoy the spectacle of elite basketball in their own backyard.”

Scotford says the interest in the Boomers match swelled with the recent announcement of the inclusion of Patty Mills and Brett Brown, fresh from NBA Playoffs, as well Joe Ingles who has just won a Spanish league Championship, into the line–up.
