SuperCamp: FULL

2012 SuperCamp July

The July 2012 SuperCamp is now FULL.

Basketball Geelong and the Supercats have been overwhelmed by the number of registered campers for the July Holiday program, with over 330 children registered at Torquay and the Arena.

The SuperCamp program was relaunced in early 2012, as a key collaborative program of the newly merged organisations Basketball Geelong and the Supercats.

The revamped program has seen a new format, where basketball skills are developed in a fun and inclusive environment, ensuring every child is not only a better basketballer by the end of the camp, but they have made some great friends and had a whole lot of fun in the process.

Coach to participant ratios have also decreased ensuring every child gets to spend time with their favourite Supercat player.

The SuperCamp is headed up by Lady Supercats Captain Kylie Morrissy. Kylie is a trained primary school teacher, as well as experienced basketball player and coach. Kylie is extremely happy with the number of children participating.

"The Supercats club is built upon local talent, with over 300 children attending our camps the clubs future is very bright. These children are the future of Basketball in Geelong." she said.

These school holidays have also seen the return of the popular Cheer Camp complimenting the school holiday basketball program.

The Cheer Camp is conducted by Kirralee Badham, Cheer Geelong’s and Geelong Supercat Cheerleading Head Coach. Kirralee is an accredited Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation and Gymnastics Australia coach. Cheer Geelong is one of the
nation’s leading Cheer Gym’s producing innovative and exciting routines.

SuperCamp and Cheer Camp will be back in the September School Holidays with registrations opening in early August, make sure you get your registration in early to ensure you dont miss out.
