The Geelong Basketball League Division 1 men’s top four is set following Tuesday night’s action at Geelong Arena.

Try Boys remain on top of the table after having the bye, while Pivot City kept alive its minor premiership hopes with a 71-51 win over Dolphins.

The Jason Reardon-James Walker combination proved too much for Dolphins to handle.

The former Supercats duo combined for 44 points, while Matt McCormack was a handy foil with 13 points.

Mikey Lesic flew the flag for Dolphins in the absence of big man Ben McCawley, scoring 21 points.

Superstar Nathan Herbert made his first appearance in the GBL competition this season in YMCA’s 84-53 victory over Tigers.

He scored just six points, however his presence provided opportunities for cousin Mitch (20 points) and Pete Van Der Burg (13).

Big V Supercat teammates Ben Scannell (18 points) and Simon Evans (17) were Tigers’ best.

Vytis had too much firepower for Rovers in an 84-63 win.

Steve Wiasak (28 points) and Michael Rebula (22) were influential for the Knights.

Chris Eichler’s 20 points were best for the wooden-spoon bound Rovers.

An Abby Schrader-inspired Lara recorded just its third win of the season, beating Dolphins 59-42.

The SEABL Lady Supercats’ import was outstanding with 25 points, while Jo Chambers chimed in with 12.

Lauren Handdreck and Katherine Khougaz both finished with 13 points apiece for Dolphins.

Try Boys was forced to work for its 62-56 win over Sharks.

Skipper Sarah De Grandi and the talented Anna Teague both scored 20 points for the Bears.

Youngster Kara Shuttleworth paced Sharks with 15 points.

Pivot City had an emphatic 82-54 victory over fellow finalists YMCA.

Four players scored in double figures, with Bianca Cheever (23 points) leading the charge.

Vicki King was again Y’s most dominant offensive player, shooting 17 points.
