Big V Coaches Appointed for 2013

With try outs set for this weekend, the Geelong Supercats are pleased to announce that all four 2012 Geelong Supercats Big V coaches have been reappointed for the 2013 season.

Shayne Bow returns to the helm for the Big V Division 1 Men, in his fourth year as head coach. Shayne led the boys to a 2011 Division 1 Championship, and came very close to going back to back in 2012, losing to Mildura in a tight three game series.

For the Division 1 Women, Darren Busuttil will once again take the reins after the team's debut season in 2012. Darren coached the Geelong State Championship Women's team in 2000-2001 and 2008-2009 before being appointed to the Division 1 Women's team in their first year of competition.

Luke Beauglehall will coach the Victorian Youth Championship Men's team in the new format for 2013 in his third year as head coach of the youth team.

2010 State Championship Women's winning coach and NBL/WNBL media personality/Big V Overtime contributor Grantley Bernard has also been reappointed to the Geelong Supercats Victorian Youth Championship Women's team for his second year.

The Under 20 VJBL teams coaches have been finalised, with David Naylor returning to coach the men's team and Glen Jordan being appointed as the head coach of the newly formed Under 20 women's team in VJBL.

Assistant coaches are yet to be finalised ahead of the try outs this weekend. Registrations for the Big V and Under 20 VJBL try outs are available online here - make sure you register before Saturday!
