Changes to Competition Committee membership

 Basketball Geelong is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Talbot as Chair of the Basketball Geelong Competition Committee.    Ainslie Howard has also been appointed to the Competition Committee as the Commission's representative.

 

Mark takes over as Chair from Frank Morrissy who, after 16 years of involvement in Basketball Geelong, has decided to take a break.  Ainslie replaces the position held by Matthew Cowling who has also decided to take a break after 15 years of active involvement.

 Chairman of the Basketball Geelong Commission, Chris Burrell, said today 'I would firstly like to thank Frank Morrissy and Matthew Cowling for all their hard work and dedication to Basketball Geelong over the past 15+ years.  Basketball Geelong would not be the success it is without the hard work and dedication of people like Frank and Matthew."

 "While they may be stepping down from formal committee roles, I know that they will remain involved with Basketball Geelong because of the passion they have for the place."

 

"I would also like to welcome Mark as our new Chair of the Competition Committee. Having been involved on the Competition Committee since its inception following the merger last year, Mark is well placed to continue the good work put in place by Frank." Mr Burrell said.
