More success for Chantel

The impressive 2013 of Dolphins' product Chantel Horvat has been capped by winning the Barwon Sports Academy's highest individual honour.

Horvat, 15, topped the voting to claim the prestigious Lee Troop Award for Excellence on Monday night.

It continues an amazing year for the talented youngster, who has accepted an offer of a spot at Basketball Australia's National Centre of Excellence in Canberra.

Horvat created history on March 16 in the Geelong Lady Supercats clash against Bendigo. At the tender age of just 14 she became the youngest player in to take the court in the history of the SEABL.

She also starred at the Under 16 National Championships for Vic Country, finishing as the leading points scorer for the tournament, before being hand-picked by Australian Opals coach Brendan Joyce to tour Hungary with a national side.
