Basketball Geelong Athletes to represent BVCC
The Basketball Victoria Country Council have selected the Players that will represent them at the Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup and Pacific Coast Slam January 2008. Basketball Geelong is well represented at both events with 30 athletes in attendance.
The Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup which is held in Albury / Wodonga on 13th to 19th January 2008. At this event BVCC have 2 Boys and 2 Girls teams in the Following Age Groups; Under 14's; Under 16's; and Under 18's.
The Pacific Coast Slam which is held in Port Macquarie N.S.W. on 21st to 25th January 2008. At this event BVCC have 2 Boys and 2 Girls teams in the Under 15 age group, and 1 Boys and 1 Girls team in the Under 17 age group.
The players selected in the U14's for the Cup and U15's for the Slam were chosen from the Golden Nugget Camp which was held in Bendigo on Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st October 2007.
The players selected to compete in the U16, U17, & U18 age groups were chosen from the teams that competed at the BVCC Junior Club Championships and the BVCC Spring Basketball Classic.
