Geelong Youth League Men in Frankston Tournament
The Basketball Geelong Youth League Men finished the Big V pre-season tournament with a 2-2 win-loss record at Frankston over the long weekend.
The young Cats team lost both games on the opening day to Latrobe City by one point and Hume City by five, but they backed up the next day with convincing wins against Werribee Devils (15 points) and Altona Gators (25 points).
The tournament will gave the boys some beneficial experience as they prepare for the start of the Big V season when they take on country rival Bendigo in the opening game at The Arena on Saturday, March 29.
