Representative teams in VJBL finals
Two Basketball Geelong representative teams, U12 boys and U18 boys (2), remain in the finals race of the VJBL.
The U18 boys (2) team have made it to the grand final of the Central/West division. They take on Sunshine (2) on Saturday at Broadmeadows, (tip-off 9:20pm).
It will be a tough task as they have been unable to defeat this Sunshine team throughout the home and away season, but confidence is an amazing thing and making it this far means there is every chance for an upset.
The U12 boys playing Victorian championship league have made a preliminary finals match against rivals Melbourne Tigers, to be played at MSAC on Friday night, (tip-off 7pm).
These two teams finished first and second on the ladder after the home and away season and after one draw and one loss during the year, the Geelong boys see no reason they can’t beat the Melbourne team in this all important match.
Both teams would appreciate a strong Geelong cheer squad!
