218 Boys and Girls attended this camp, the camp was headed up by the Basketball Victoria Country U16 State Team Head Coaches, Tony Gall (Girls) & Luke Bobilak (Boys).
At this camp both head coaches selected 31 boys & 31 girls who were invited to attend the 4 day State Camp being held in Ballarat from Saturday 4th April to Tuesday 7th April 2009.
Both Head Coaches said that because of the very high standard of the camp, and the number of applicants they had a very hard job to select the 31 players for the next stage.
Six Basketball Geelong Juniors - Anthony Ferrante, Emily Koroneos, Blake Keating, Chloe Palmer, Matthew Pigott and Nicholas Quaill have been selected to attend.
At the end of the 4 day camp both State Head Coaches will announce the 10 players plus 3 or 4 emergencies that will represent Country Victoria at the Australian National U16 Basketball Championships.
These Championships will be held in Ulverstone, Tasmania at the Ulverstone Basketball Stadium starting on Saturday 11th July and concluding on Saturday 18th July 2009.
