As a valued member of the Basketball Community, we seek your support on April 7 for this historic event for the sport.

Be there to take part in a world record attempt, but also witness the unveiling of Basketballs new brand and demonstrate that support at the grass roots level is strong.

You can be part of a Basketball World Record by being at Melbourne's Federation Square on Tuesday 7 April at 12:30pm!

Basketball Australia is organising an attempt to better the record for the number of people dribbling basketballs consecutively and you can be part of history in the making.

The world record attempt is absolutely free to participate and open to everyone, with all registered participants receiving a certificate after the event that will also include a group photo of the record breakers.

All you need to do to participate is to register on-line using the link below and bring a basketball on the day.

There will be random prizes and giveaways for participants as well as live entertainment on the day, with Channel Seven 'Sunrise' sports anchor Mark Beretta hosting the action.

Opals and Boomers players will also be present for an autograph signing session, including Joe Ingles of the South Dragons.

The event will also see the unveiling for the first time of the new branding for Australian basketball.
