The Basketball Geelong’s talent production line continues to roll on

The Basketball Geelong’s talent production line continues to roll on, with Xavier McKeegan and Jamie Syddall selected to represent Victoria at the National Primary School Championships next month.

The tournament, to be held in Newcastle from August 1-8, is highly regarded among basketball circles as a prestigious event and will give the star duo plenty of invaluable experience, as well as opening them up to a competitive brand of basketball.

The pair, along with Tom Doedee (named as an emergency) play with the Geelong Under 14 team which claimed the Victoria Country Championships earlier this year.

Xavier and Tom play their local club basketball for Try Boys, while Jamie plays for Christian College Eagles. Both sides look set for finals action, sitting third and fourth respectively.

Basketball Geelong has kindly donated $100 to each of the boys, as they strive to become National Champs and look to further their already promising basketball careers.

Good luck boys!
