Teams Set to Rumble in Grand Finals on Sunday
The Western Australian Basketball League (WABL) will hold the last ever WABL Grand Finals at the "home of basketball" Perry Lakes Stadium on Sunday.
For decades our elite junior talent and the home of Basketball WA has been based at Perry Lakes Stadium and in 2010 the new WA Basketball Centre will open. An elite $43 million dollar, eight court stadium, the new home of Basketball WA will continue moving the sport forward.
However there is are thirteen games and 26 teams set to battle it out on Sunday 20 September to win the last ever WABL Grand Final at Perry Lakes. The teams represent eleven out of the twelve WABL clubs with ever association bar Perth having teams in the Grand Finals.
Entry to watch the elite junior talent in WA is just $3.00 for spectators for the entire day. You can also witness two of the four teams attending the WA Under 14 Girls Club Championships teams. Cockburn Cougars and Lakeside Lightning will do battle at 9:00am on Court One.

11:00am (presentations @ 12:45pm)

- Wanneroo Wolves v East Perth Eagles
- Perry Lakes Hawks v Wanneroo Wolves
- Perry Lakes Hawks v Wanneroo Wolves
1:15pm (presentations @ 3:00pm)
- Wanneroo Wolves v Stirling Senators
- Southwest Slammers v Kalamunda Eastern Suns
- Lakeside Lightning v Southwest Slammers
3:30pm (presentations @ 5:15pm)
- Perry Lakes Hawks v Wanneroo Wolves
- Wanneroo Wolves v Cockburn Cougars
- Perry Lakes Hawks v Lakeside Lightning
The league All-Stars and MVP for each competition (the top ten players in MVP Voting) will also be presented at the presentations for each age group.
All players, coaches and basketball supporters are encouraged to attend and witness the best that WA Grass Roots basketball has to offer, for the last time at Perry Lakes Stadium.
