2010 WABL Season

Basketball WA and the WABL Commission have recently been in consultation with all Associations and other sporting codes in discussions on improvements for the 2010 WABL Competition.

Basketball WA is please to announce many exciting changes to increase participation and the quality of the competition for all of our WABL players, coaches, referees and administrators.

Some exciting changes to our player pathway include:

  • The introduction of a weekly Under 12 Competition.
  • The replacement of the Under 23 Men's Competition with an Under 20 Men & Women Competition.
  • The introduction of an Under 18 Division 2 Girls Competition.
  • Aligning the Open Men & Women Competition with the SBL Season timing. 
  • Opening the Under 14 Qualification process to both Metropolitan & Country Associations.
