Girls basketball lessons
The first program is all about teaching girls (all ages) how to play the fun game of basketball. No previous experience is required and all are welcome so bring along your friends and have fun time learning.
The second program is focussed on improving a player’s knowledge and skills in preparation for the upcoming Western Australian Basketball League season that’s starts in May 2010. The program is for all ages and levels.
The programs, that are free of charge, start on February 11 and will be provided by two professional development coaches including Emily Gunkelman, a recent Women’s State Basketball League (WSBL) Coach and Professional Development Coach who works with Warren Kuhn, a very well respected professional development coach in developing the skills and attributes of basketballers so that they may become better all-round players.
Former NBL Veteran and now EPDBA Director of Development, Ben Thompson made the following comments “East Perth District Basketball Association is very excited to be offering these development sessions specifically for girls and we are looking forward to offering more opportunities to develop basketball in the East Perth District.”
