All Stars & MVP announced tomorrow
The Western Australian Basketball League (WABL) will announce the ten league All-Stars & the MVP of all 16 competitions at tomorrows WABL Grand Finals.
At the end of each game during the regular season the coaches of both teams vote on the league MVP. Each coach is allocated ten votes to use for the game. The MVP voting process is the same process used by the NBL & WNBL. An explanation is below.
A coach can vote for any number of players on either team and allocate any number of votes to those players. A coach can allocate no more than 5 votes to one player and their allocated votes must add up to a total of ten for the game.
The ten players with the highest number of votes in each age group, are awarded an All-Star medallion. The player with the highest number of votes is awarded the league Most Valuable Player (MVP).
Each age group's All-Star team and the league MVP will be announced at the presentations for each Grand Final (see Court Plan document below).
The Under 14 All-Stars & MVP will be announced at the 10:30am presentations for the Under 12/13 Grand Finals due to both Under 14 Grand Finals being played last weekend due to the Under 14 Australian Club Championships commencing on Monday.
Basketball WA looks forward to seeing everyone at the WA Basketball Centre on Sunday September 26 to support the Grand Final teams and celebrate another exciting year of representative junior basketball.
