Early Bird discount for Redback Classic Nominations
In 2012, over the Easter long weekend, the Redback Classic will be celebrating its 30th year! We would love to see all the associations turn out to support the most participated in event on our basketball calendar to make it an Easter weekend worth remembering.
In celebration of this milestone event, the club is offering a 10% Early Bird discount for all teams who are nominated before March 7.
The tournament was the brainchild of Ian Frame and the late Len Vlahov, both of whom are Life Members of the Perth Basketball Association. Beginning its life at the three court Park Recreation Centre in East Victoria Park, the budding Classic quickly outgrew the facility and moved to the eight court Perry Lakes Basketball Stadium in 1989. Again in 2011 an upgrade in facility saw the carnival move to the world class State Basketball Centre. There is no better place in WA for our aspiring next generation to compete.
Over the years the Classic has been wonderfully supported by Cockburn, East Perth, Perry Lakes, Wanneroo, Mandurah, Stirling, Kalamunda and Willeton.
