Australian Boomers open training session in Perth
The Australian Boomers have confirmed that one of the team training sessions has been made open to the public.
In town for the YOUYI Games against the Chinese National team, the National Team’s training session at the Western Australian Basketball Centre on the evening of Thursday, 7th of June will be an opportunity for the general community to witness first hand Olympic hopefuls put through their paces by the National Coaching squad.
With veterans Matt Nielsen, Mark Worthington and David Barlow set to be joined by rising stars in Matthew Dellavedova and Hugh Greenwood, along with Perth Wildcats’ Damian Martin and Jesse Wagstaff to name a few, the open session will be a chance for the public to see some of the Australia’s best compete for a place on the Australian Boomers final roster to represent the team at the Olympics.
Education and Training Officer Vlad Alava was pleased to have another opportunity for the basketball public to receive greater accessibility to the National team.

We have always had a great response to these open sessions in the past, and the public simply love having the chance to see Australia’s best competing in front of them.”
