Poor Start- last three quarters very much improved. We missed a lot of 3 foot shots in transition which didnt let put enough scoreboard pressure on. We need to take out of the second half that the team had a mini win.

The Flames went hard early knowing that they couldnt let Magic take control of the game. Our girls worked very well as a team along with some hard plays to keep Magic to a 5 point lead at half time.
In the second half the Flames hit the lead several times and defended extremely well but the fouls were building up and by the middle of the last quarter, 3 of the Flames had used all 5. The team pushed on and gave it their best to a point where they had exhausted their energy levels. A great effort by the girls.

This game was a game of runs and unfortunately we were not able to make ours at the business end of the game. With Simone Gaisford going down early in the third quarter with an ankle injury Shelby Meola played an unbelievable game to keep us in the hunt by getting to the right areas at the offensive end and continually make plays. Scoring isnt an issue for us its about locking down at the defensive end and becoming better both individually and as a team at playing defensively.

The Flames allowed the game to be played on Mandurahs terms with costly turnovers, fouls which became an issue for the whole game and impatient team play which saw the visitors up by 10 at half time. They began the third quarter positively keeping Mandurah to under 10 points for the quarter and hit the lead going into the last. The Flames work rate continued in the last quarter and saw them win by 6 points.

It was great to see all the boys contribute on the court with intence full court defence which assisted us flow into our offensive game. The boys made smart decisions at the offensive end and executed our plays well right throughout the game.

Great comeback by the team. 11 points behind at three quarter time with fouls the deciding point. We played with only seven players due to three being injured.

The boys came out and got off to a great start but defensive lapses let the Magic back in until the last quarter when we made our run to remain undefeated. Our offensive execution was much better this week and an even spread of scoring was evident of this.
