BWA Announces Under 16 State Teams

Basketball Western Australia is pleased to announce the players, staff and officials that will represent the four teams attending the Australian Junior Championships in July.

The tournament will be held in Ulverstone, Tasmania from the 11th - 18th of July and WA will be sending Metro (Men & Women) as well as Country (Men & Women) teams.

After the tough initial try-outs athletes have been training with their respective teams for over three months now and each team has slowly selected their final ten players to represent the State later this year.

The coaching staff for the Metro Men are Mark Clayden (Head Coach), Brett Banting (Assistant Coach), Ashley McCormick (Assistant Coach), Drew Banting (Development Coach), Paul Cassir (Development Coach) & Michelle Fletcher (Manager).

The staff for the Metro Women are Craig Mansfield (Head Coach), Mark Loxley (Assistant Coach), Shane Perret (Assistant Coach), Nicole Moyle (Development Coach) & Sue Theunissen (Manager).

The Country Men staff is Scott Rubery (Head Coach), Peter Feast (Assistant Coach), Dan Hunt (Assistant Coach) & Julie Feast (Manager).

The Country Women are led by Bruce Nairn (Head Coach), Toni Bray (Assistant Coach), Bree Klasztorny (Assistant Coach & Luisa Stade (Manager).

The Officials who have been selected to represent Western Australia at the tournament are Travis Stewart, Blaine Krapljanov, Rhys Briggs & Chris Hawley.
