Under 20 State Coaches Announced
Basketball WA is pleased to announce the re-appointment of 2008 Under 20 Coaches Brad Kidner & Glenn Clarke.
Kidner is no stranger to the BWA state program and will be returning for his fourth year as the Head Coach of the Under 20 Men's team. Kidner has won two bronze medals with the Under 20 Men's team and in 2009 came fourth.
Clarke, who is also the head coach of the Willetton Tigers WSBL team, will return for his second year at the helm with the Under 20 Women. In 2009 Clarke led the Women to their first medal in 4 years in an impressive tournament.
Basketball WA High Performance Coach/Manager David Herbert was pleased with the appointments "To have two coaches of the quality of Brad and Glenn is fantastic for the state program. I am sure both coaches can build on their success and push WA to be a force in Adelaide in February 2010. We are all about winning the ultimate prize of a gold medal at an Australian National Championship. For too long we have been happy to be a number it is now about winning and giving our coaches the best possible chance to achieve this goal."
Further announcements will be made shortly in relation to trial dates and both coaches will now be actively identifying talent within the WABL and SBL competitions.
