Local Perth Talent Take on the World

The Herb Graham Recreation and Fitness Centre, home of the Perth Wheelcats is set to play host to an international wheelchair basketball series between the Perth Wheelcats and the Great Britain Paralympic Team.

The Wheelcats, remain undefeated in this year in the National Wheelchair Basketball League are captained by Beijing Gold Medallist and interim Australian Rollers Captain Justin Eveson. In addition the team boasts Brad Ness, Shaun Norris and Michael Hartnett who also returned home from Beijing in October with Gold Medals as a part of the Rollers Campaign.

The British Team won bronze in Beijing and looks to be a real powerhouse team as we approach the 2012 London Paralympics.

This is a great opportunity to see some high quality wheelchair basketball and a great rivalry which has intensified over the years. The Wheelcats took the 2 game series 2-0 in 2007 when Great Britain last made the trip down under.

Game 1 is on Friday 7th August with tipoff at 7pm and Game 2 the following night Saturday 8th August starting at 7pm. All games are played at the home of the Perth Wheelcats, the Herb Graham Recreation and Fitness Centre. Entry is FREE so come down and so come down and support the Perth Wheelcats and be a part of this fierce rivalry.
