The Harold Parsons Ride was run on the 17th February.
Most riders followed the arrows though some made their own variants of the course though all bar one withdrawel, (DNF) made it to the lunch venue at the Glen Maggie Dam wall reserve. Some patchy showers during the morning did not prevent the day having perfect riding conditions. By mid afternoon all the riders had made the way back to the Morrison Street clubrooms. As in the morning, drinks and cakes were on offer during which ride results and presentations were made.
It must be acknowledged the great job Renae and team did organizing the morning and afternoon spread. Also the arrow team putting up then taking down the direction arrows, the people on the checkpoints, and Dave and Stephanie organizing the catering at the lunch venue.
It should be mentioned that Mal Parsons, the closest living relative to the man himself, Harold Parsons, rode from his home near Cairns all the way to the our clubrooms in Maffra.
See below for the ride results.
