COVID-19 Restrictions

Our team has been busy making our venues compliant with government restrictions.

There will be a number of restrictions in place when we return:

• Limitations on spectators and sign in required
• Social distancing on benches & seating
• 20 minute changeover period between matches
• Immediate departure following matches
• No basketballs being brought into stadiums
• Requirement for participants to bring own drink bottles 
• Hand sanitizer to be used before and after each match
• Bio Officer at each Venue
• Signage will be available at all venues to assist.

All team registrations MUST be completed ONLINE  

Team entries close on Friday 3rd July 2020.

Ten week season Round 1 commencing on Monday 20th July

Fixtures will be released approx 5 days in advance

PLAYER REGISTRATION

All players are required to register in their team using the team code generated when the team is registered by the team contact. All player registrations must be completed before round 1 to ensure games can commence on time, noting that we will not hold up games for those who have not registered.  

FEES PAYABLE

All fees payable MUST be paid before Round 1, it is encouraged that this is done online at the time of player registration to their team. Any additional players joining teams after Round 1 must pay the prescribed fee before their first game.

1. WDABA Registration Fee’s: Senior $105 
2. The BVC Affiliation Fee = $39.00 and is payable only by players that did not participate in the 19/2020 Summer season. 
   

Payment options are via credit or debit card at the time of your online player to team registration.

COMPETITION RULES

FINALS QUALIFICATION

Players are required to play half the number of available games scheduled plus one to qualify for finals. Byes
do not count as available games. Players failing to meet finals eligibility requirements must complete a Request for Special Permission to Qualify for Finals form which must be received by NO LATER THAN (2) WEEKS prior to the commencement of finals. Any forms received after this time may not be considered.

Welcome to Warragul and District Amateur Basketball Association (WDABA), home of the Warragul Warriors. WDABA services an area covering several thousand square kilometres in West Gippsland from Bunyip to the east, Yarragon to the west and Neerim South to the north as well as other clubs around Warragul. WDABA has seven member clubs playing in the domestic competition, which it supports to provide junior basketball and all other forms of basketball from grass roots Warrior Hoops through to the elite levels of the Country Basketball League (CBL).
