Keith Surridge (affectionately known as “Bulldog”) joined the club in 1986 as a sole parent with four children, of whom two sons played Australian Football. He immediately volunteered to become involved in then club, mainly assisting with club fundraising by selling raffle tickets.
In 1989, Keith joined the Football Committee, becoming heavily involved in the football operations of the club, in particular the 1990 Premiership-winning U17 team, whilst continuing his fundraising efforts.
In 1990, a clubhouse was built and Keith became involved in the day-to-day cleaning and general maintenance, as well as on-going improvements, of the new building.
Keith's football administration moved on to the Senior Football Club, as well as joining the Committee of the newly named Alexandra Hills Australian Football and Recreation Club Inc.
Keith was awarded a Life Membership of the Alexandra Hills Sporting Club Inc in 1996. In 2000, extensive renovations to the Clubhouse were completed and in further recognition of his dedication, a section of the bar was named "The Keith Surridge Bar".

Licensee, Alexandra Hills Sporting Club Inc.
Community Service Supervisor, Cleveland Community Corrections Office.
Keith has continued his volunteer work for the Alexandra Hills Sporting Club Inc and his on-going role as Community Service Supervisor for the Cleveland Community Corrections Office, one he has maintained for over 10 years.
Keith spends every weekend at the club continuing a program of improvements and maintenance to the grounds and clubhouse through his own skills as well as those of the Community Service workers. Keith has been responsible for improvements to club facilities for football and cricket teams and spectators, including construction of a time tower, scoreboard, coaches boxes and grandstand.
Keith continues his administrative role of the Senior Football Club and is on the current committe.
