SCHEDULE TO MATCH REGULATIONS
TEAM COMPOSITION Use of younger players in teams
When using younger players in a team, the following is a guide on how to calculate your teams total age:-
N.B. The first eight [8] players to play in a tie constitutes the basis of your team.
i.e.: Players playing in the 1st Mens doubles(M/D), 1st Womens Doubles(W/D),
2nd Mens Doubles(M/D) and 2nd Womens Doubles(W/D).
When you wish to use another of your registered players, one of the original eight [8] must drop out and cannot return for the duration of the match.
When this occurs you must make sure that your teams total age is within the criteria set down.
Example: 50 + group 50 x 8 = 400 + 10 = 410 years.
Your team has listed twelve [12] registered players which some you may wish to use in a match.
PLAYERS LISTED
Men No. Players Age Women No. Players Age
M/1 BOB 52 W/1 SHIRLEY 51
M/2 BILL 51 W/2 BEV 52
M/3 HARRY 55 W/3 BETTY 55
M/4 JOHN 56 W/4 JEANNIE 54
M/5 TREVOR 48 W/5 VERA 48
M/6 JAMES 47 W/6 TRACY 49
TEAM SHEET
GAME PLAYERS TOTAL AGES ALTERATION
1st M/D M/1 & M/2 103
1st W/D W/1 & W/3 106
2nd M/D M/3 & M/6 102
2nd W/D W/4 & W/5 102 413
1st Mx M/1 & W/6 414 Take out W/5 In W/6
2nd Mx M/2 & W/2 412 Take out W/4 In W/2
3rd Mx M/4 & W/3 421 Take out M/6 In M/4
4th Mx M/5 & W/1 414 Take out M/3 In M/5
N.B. Once a player has played 2 games they cannot be traded for a replacement player.
Also you cannot use a replacement player to go out to bring in another replacement player.
In the above example, if in the first mixed the team had traded M/3 for M/6 and traded W/3 for W/6, their team would have fallen below the 410 year criteria.
(It would have been 413 less 14 years = 399 years).
The age TOTAL of the first eight [8] players is the basis from which you add or subtract the players you replace. e.g: If you take out M/6 at 47 years and replace him with M/4 at 56 years the difference is + 9 years. (OR) If you take out W/3 at 55 years and replace her with W/6 at 49 years the difference is 6 years.
