Venue Information
Royal Park is a large open parkland and includes the State Netball Hockey Centre, the Royal Melbourne Zoological Gardens, an Australian native plant garden, a nine hole golf course and other recreational facilities and sporting grounds.
How to get there
Royal Park is located 3 kilometres north of the city between Royal Parade and Flemington Road. The area is easily accessed by public transport with Royal Park train station next to the zoo. The number 55 tram runs through the park from William Street in the city and number 19 tram travels beside the park from Queen Street in the city.

Playing Strip
All teams are required to wear an appropriate uniform, with legal numbers.
If the referees determine that there is a clash of colours between teams, they will confer with both team captains. If either captain wishes a change of colours, then there shall be a toss of the coin and the winner of the toss may elect to change uniforms or oblige the opposition to change uniforms.
No-show
If a team does not appear with the minimum of eleven players within ten (10) minutes of the commencement of a game, as indicated on the fixture, then the match shall be a forfeit. The match will be awarded to the opposing team and the score recorded as a twenty eight (28) point to nil (0) win.
The referee will be the sole judge of fact law.
Competition Standards
The rugby competition at the Games will be conducted under the auspices, rules and regulations of the International Rugby Board and Australian Rugby and will conform to any special requirements of the International Masters Games Association (IMGA).
Victorian Rugby Union will conduct the competition.
Equipment
Game balls will be provided, however, it is the responsibility of the team to bring training balls. Teams should bring an alternate strip if possible. The Tournament Office will have a limited supply of alternate gear on hand to assist those who do not have their own if there is a clash of colours. Teams are advised to bring their own water bottles.
