Fourteen players from the Western Bulldogs Football Club will arrive in Echuca as part of the Goulburn Murray AFL Player Appearance Program for 2014.
The visit, to take place on Tuesday 13 May, will see players engage in a variety of activities in all of the Primary and Secondary Schools in Echuca and Moama.
Schools will use the players to run small football clinics, undertake Question & Answer sessions, provide information around diet, nutrition and training, and speak about the value of leadership.
Players will spread amongst the Primary Schools in the morning before speaking to senior students in the Secondary setting after lunch.
Students in Echuca and Moama have been lucky that this is an annual event in their community and it provides an excellent opportunity for the visiting AFL Club to promote their brand and foster new fans for the game.
Brownlow Medallist, Adam Cooney, headlines the group of players that have been nominated to attend Echuca on the day, whilst the son of another former Brownlow Medal winner, Tom Liberatore leads a group of young players keen to motivate the students including excitement machine Luke Dahlhaus, and promising young Rookie, Lin Jong.
