The bar is an important and integral part of the Club, not only for socialising and entertaining but also because it of its contribution to the finances of the Club.
Running the bar depends on a roster of volunteers with their Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate. The more members the Club has with RSA, the more attractive the roster.
If you do not have your RSA certificate, this is a great opportunity to obtain it. The course itself is interesting, informative and provides the opportunity to learn in the company of other Club members.
The date for the course to be run at QCYC is Sunday, 22 October 2017, commencing at 10:00 with an expected finish time of 14:00. The cost will be $40 per person (normally $80, QCYC will subsidise 50%).
If you are interested, please contact Richard Lowe (Vice Commodore) on mobile 0412 175 196 or email vicecommodore@qcyc.org.au
If you do have your RSA certificate, remember that it expires after 3 years and that you can complete the refresher on-line at https://liquor.vcglr.vic.gov.au/rsa_refresher/. You will need the certificate number from your original certificate. If you do not know your certificate number call 1300 182 457 to check the database.
