Fiji basketball gets new attire

Uprising Beach Resort Fiji is sponsoring the Fiji Under-19 basketball team attire for the Oceania Youth Championship in Melbourne, Australia next week.
The young basketball talents were grateful to the resort for the new training and game uniforms which were given to the two teams yesterday.
The resort’s operations manager, James Pridgeon reminded the players of the importance of their task next week.
“We are now branching out to different sports and try to develop them and support them in different ways.
“It is an honour for us to support Fiji basketball. We know this will be an eye-opener for all of you going to Melbourne and compete and you make sure you do your best,” Pridgeon said.
“We believe in each one of you and you should always trust yourselves and play hard and have full confidence.”
Accepting the uniforms the women’s team captain Grace Taito said they would all try their best to come out victorious.
“We will not let anyone down, especially those who have supported us a lot. We will go out there and play as a team and win as a team,” Taito said.
The teams will be departing for Australia tomorrow.
