Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Darwin Basketball Association will be held on Sunday 28 April, 2013 at 10:30am at the Casuarina All Sports Club, Trower Road, Casuarina.

Business to be conducted:

a)      Acceptance of President’s Report;

b)      Acceptance of Treasurer’s Report;

c)       Business of which prior notice have been given;

d)      Election of Office Bearers;

Nominations for Committee of the Darwin Basketball Association Board shall be in writing on the prescribed forms available on the DBA website. Only nominations that are fully completed will be accepted as valid nominations.

Any persons accepting nomination and standing for election will be required to submit a personal/professional profile that supports their qualifications to fulfil the position. This will be placed on public display at the Darwin Basketball Association and on the DBA website.

The nominated member must be proposed by two members, so entitled to vote and the Nomination Form shall be delivered addressed to the Executive Office, Philip Wingate at least 9 days prior to the AGM, (that being 5:00pm on Friday, 19th April, 2013) at the Darwin Basketball Association Office (PO Box 42442, Casuarina 0811).

Nominations are hereby called for the positions of;

  President (Executive)

  Committee: Director of Finance;

  Committee: General;

  Committee: General

Please note that positions listed above will run for a period of two years.

Nominations are also called for;

  Life Members;

  Patron;

  Honorary Solicitor;

  Auditor

Note:

1. Affiliate Members will be eligible to vote for all positions;
2. Any General Business that a member wishes to have discussed at the meeting must be made in writing and is to be in the hands of the Executive Officer of the Darwin Basketball Association no later than 5:00pm Friday, 19th April 2013.
