The Tracy Village Jets disposed of Palmerston 83-36 behind a solid team effort spearheaded by Tara Maxwell who hit a game high 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Ansett v Uni Rebels

The Uni Rebels claimed the scalp of Ansett with a decisive 83-48 victory that propelled them into sole possession of fourth place on the ladder. Lightning v Eagles

Lightning upended the Eagles 64-50 for their second win in a row and just their second out of the last six games. It was a must win for Lightning as they appeared headed for a fall out of the final four and still have a lot of work to do to remain in it. The Eagles kept it a close affair for the first half, trailing by just 3 at half time 31-28, but Lightning (32% from field) put on a 17-8 third quarter run behind the outside shooting of Emma Carbone and Kelli Sealy to take a 48-36 lead heading into the last quarter. Despite the effort from guard Michelle Friel (21) the Eagles (27 % from field) couldn’t overhaul Lightning and lost their fourth game out of the last six to slip out of the four.
