DBA Secure Major Partner for Malaysian Tour

The Darwin Basketball Association has secured PLATINUM ELECTRICIANS DARWIN as the major partner of the Senior Men’s team for the 2015 Invitational Tournament in early November in Johor, Malaysia.

Whilst the terms of the agreement are strictly confidential, this is the first major sponsorship deal of this magnitude to be struck for the Darwin Basketball Senior program for many years.

PLATINUM ELECTRICIANS DARWIN are qualified Master Electricians priding themselves on quality service and workmanship with all electricians fully licensed and comply fully with Workplace Health and Safety standards. You are never just a number or sale with Platinum Electricians Darwin who always turn up when they say they will and provide impeccable lines of communication to keep you in the loop the whole way.

The partnership will see PLATINUM ELECTRICIANS DARWIN incorporated into the team title, logo recognition on all playing uniforms and travel apparel across all team members as the Club’s major partner.

DBA Acting President, Craig Trezise said to secure a significant long-term partnership with an organisation of the caliber of PLATINUM ELECTRICIANS DARWIN was a ringing endorsement of the direction the senior basketball program is headed.

“The DBA is very proud to have PLATINUM ELECTRICIANS DARWIN committing to one of the premier sports organisation in Darwin,” Trezise said.

“The DBA are experiencing significant interest and growth over the past 6 months, and this new partnership reflects the standing the organisation holds in the community.

“Importantly, this is a crucial step forward in the push for more support from corporate Darwin to back their local community based basketball associations that compete in international tournaments, with sponsorship.

“We welcome PLATINUM ELECTRICIANS DARWIN into the basketball family and look forward to enjoying a long-term relationship.”

DBA Executive Joe Tertzakian congratulated PLATINUM ELECTRICIANS DARWIN on seizing the opportunity to become partners of the association.

“As a long-time basketball association of the Top End, the DBA has enjoyed success both on and off the court but more recently asserted ourselves as a sports powerhouse brand in the Darwin area,” he said.

“Our overall picture and vision for the DBA’s future have earned a well-deserved reputation for improved excellence through hard work and PLATINUM ELECTRICIANS DARWIN shares those exact same values.

“Moving forward we are looking to explore similar opportunities for our senior women’s program providing them with the equal chance to showcase their talent at international tournaments and maybe even look to host a combined men’s and women’s tournament through Asian engagement,” Tertzakian concluded.

PLATINUM ELECTRICIANS DARWIN General Manager Paul Sefton-Rowston said the partnership presented exciting opportunities for further growth and promotion of both of these brands.

“We are extremely proud to be one of the first major partners in recent times with the DBA, putting significant corporate support behind the program in what is also our first major sponsorship deal,” Sefton-Rowston said.

“As Mr Tertzakian has rightly pointed out, this Club has had a rich tradition of success based on hard work and excellence and we at PLATINUM ELECTRICIANS DARWIN built our reputation on these values too.

“That’s why we’re so excited to be partners of the DBA, a Club quickly becoming renowned for providing structured and professional programs.

“We are genuinely optimistic about the future of the DBA and look forward to a successful partnership with the association.”
