Wrap-up of Grand Finals played 8 September
The last Grand Finals for the year were played in Premier Grade, Under 20s and Southside 1.
The first half of the Premier Grade Grand Final between Gaters and Aspley was very even with both teams scoring one try in the half and Aspley leading 6-4 at the break. Aspley started the second half strongly but then Gaters came back again for the score after 80 minutes to be 16-all, with both teams scoring three tries overall.. Gaters kicked a field goal in about the fourth minute of extra time to win the match, and the premiership, 17-16.
In the Under 20 Grand Final between Easts Juniors and Logan Brothers, Easts Juniors raced to an early lead, scoring three tries in the first eight minutes to lead 24‑10 at the break, scoring four tries to two in the half. Both teams scored two tries in the second half for Easts Juniors to win the match, and the premiership, 32-20, scoring six tries to four overall.
In the Southside 1 Grand Final between Logan Brothers and Mt Gravatt, it was a fairly even first half, with Logan Brothers scoring three tries to two in the half, to lead 14-10 at the break. Logan Brothers scored two more tries in the second half to win the match, and the premiership, 24-10, scoring five tries to two overall.
