Australia retain the Pan Pacific Trophy
Australia defeated New Zealand 7-4 in the Pan Pacific Trophy match played at the Waikato Badminton Stadium.
New Zealand had a slow nervous start; losing the first seven matches however finished strong winning the last four matches
All three of the men's singles went to three games with Australia winning all of them. The Australian women were too strong for the Kiwi girls, winning all three singles matches and the doubles in two games. The first win of the night for New Zealand came in the mens doubles, clinching another close three game match
New Zealand then won all three mixed doubles matches
