Permit Application Process

Any team that wishes to play a player who would otherwise be ineligible to play in any match, may only field that player in that match when an application for a playing permit has been approved by the BVHA Permits Committee. This applies to the Senior, Junior, and modified grades competitions.

The BVHA considers that the By-Laws allow all clubs scope to select and manage playing lists. As such Playing Permits will only be issued in exceptional circumstances. Furthermore the disadvantage to opposing teams in the granting of such a permit shall be a major consideration, particularly in respect to Finals Matches.

Permit administration:
All applications for permits must be submitted via email, on the form supplied and by the timeline specified. Late applications can't be guaranteed to be considered.

The BVHA Permits Committee consists of the BVHA President, the BVHA Registrar and either the BVHA Junior Coordinator (for junior permits) or the BVHA Senior Coordinator (for senior permits). The permits committee will decide eligibility by majority vote.
