The Australian Lacrosse Association Ltd (ALA) will hold its 4th Annual Recognition Dinner during the Senior Championship in South Australia from the 4th to 7th June 2014. The ALA Board would like to extend an invitation to you to be part of this celebratory function.
This year ALA will be recognising our past Australian Senior (men and women) team members with a unique number representing the order in which each player earned their first Australian representative position. Australian players will receive a commemorative certificate and the opportunity to become a part of the Australian Team Alumni.
The first stage of this recognition program is for the Australian Teams (men’s and women’s) to be presented with their unique player representative number, up to the first officially recognised world events and then only senior world event teams. ALA is also in the process of formulating acknowledgement of fully recognised senior touring teams, U19 Men’s teams, U19 Women’s teams and Men’s Indoor Teams. Should you be unable to attend the dinner this year in South Australia, ALA will be continuing to present players at future dinners in the state where the Senior National Championship is to be held.
The dinner will be held at the Westward Ho Golf Club, Adelaide Shores Golf Park, Military Road, West Beach, South Australia on Friday 6th June, commencing at 6:00pm for 6:30pm formalities. The evening is a sit-down 3-course dinner, with one drink on arrival at a cost of $70 per person, with alcoholic drinks to be purchased from the bar. A booking form is attached.
This event is being held in conjunction with the 2014 ALA Senior Men’s & Women’s National Championship and we look forward to also seeing you at the finals on Saturday 7th June 2014, at Woodville Hockey Club, corner Park Avenue & Northgate Street, Pennington, South Australia.
With lacrosse being an integral part of our lives, the ALA Board of Directors look forward to recognising our Australian team representatives at this special event, and hope that together we shall continue to keep looking forward to the future and the ongoing expansion of our sport in Australia and worldwide.
Best Wishes,
Mike
