Under 13 Nationals Final results (5/10/09 - NSEC)

BWC Finals day Summary: Under 15's & Under 13's:

The first game in the Under 13 Nationals tournament was our BWC girls team vs Waikato. It was a tight fought contest with the scores tied 21 all at the end of the first quarter. For the remaining three quarters our girls pulled away and managed to hold off a Waikato fight-back winning BWC's first ever nationals title 58-55.

After the success from the girls game the boys team started off with a hiss & a roar against North Harbour breaking out to a 20 points to 4 lead. Our boys team never looked back winning the game by an incredible 33 goal margin (100-67).

Earlier on in the day our Under 15 girls team narrowly lost to Waikato 45-48. Commiserations to the girls team but fantastic effort on reaching the finals and finishing second in the tournament.

A huge thank you to the coaches and all the supporters who travelled out to the North Shore Events Centre to help give our teams that extra edge and watch a magnificent day for Basketball Waitakere City.

Well done to all the players for working hard throughout the year to achieve your goals of being national champions. All the best with your future ambitions... Go BWC!!!
