MAKE OR BREAK FOR BIG V EAGLES
The woman kick of proceedings at 6pm on Saturday night at the Veneto Club against co-tenant, Blackburn Vikings. The teams have played twice already this season and each team has a win. Blackburn currently sit bottom of the ladder and LTU are one game ahead of them in second bottom position. An LTU win here will ensure Blackburn finish up wooden spooners for 2005.
Following the women, at 8pm, the men will attempt to secure the fifth and final playoff position. At the moment LTU are tied with Melton for 5th however, LTU have the head-to-head honours which keep their noses in front. Cragieburn have a chance to jump out of wooden spoon position with a win against La Trobe. Both teams have a great deal at stake and the encounter is sure to be fiery.
The women will play their final match of the season at Sunbury on Sunday at 12.00pm. While it is the last game of a disappointing season, the girls have to much pride to simply hand Sunbury the win.
