MEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP UNDERWAY
Game 1 was played between Rick James and Inter BW. Rick James built an early lead thanks to an early inside dominance from Andrew Oliver. Inter BW's import, Neville Chivanganye asserted some interior dominance to help Inter get back in the game in the second half. However, LTU Big V star, Paul Di Marzio steadied the ship and steered the Rick James team home 69 - 62.

Game 2 was played between Prime Time and Ya Mum. Featuring half of the LTU Big V team, Prime Time was always going to present a sizeable challenge to Ya Mum. Led by inspirational captain, Josh Croall, Prime Time proved way to strong for their inexperienced opposition, winning 98-51.

The third match of the round had a very La Trobe Uni, Eltham, Diamond Valley flavour too it. The Reservoir Dogs behind the play making of Luke Egan and hot outside shooting from Dale Weston and John Lister proved too strong for the DV of Old despite some tough inside play from Danny Cullinan and Adam Moore. Cullinan has firmed to favourite to receive the leagues first tech foul!

The final game of the night was played between Ward and And 1. With a list including former LA Laker, Sedale Threatt, former NBL star Willie Simmons and current Big V star, Mike Petridis, the And 1 team is clear favourite to take out the title. However, an undermanned Ward was determined to give the And 1 team a tough match first up. Unfortunately the legs ran out early for team Ward and they were unable to bridge the 13 point half time gap.
