MEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI FINAL REVIEW

1ST SEMI FINAL

RESERVOIR DOGS 67 d PRIME TIME 63

With Naz O'Brien stranded at the airport and Micka Steven out of action with a sliced up finger, the Reservoir Dogs started the game with 4 players. Prime Time established an inside prescence through Ethan Pitcher early but failed to capitalise as well as they should have.

Halfway through the 2nd quarter, Steven turned up and despite being told not to play, suited up to give the Dogs a 5th player. Thankfully Peter Brack had kept the dogs in touch with Prime Time, hitting 15 first half points. Despite Bracky's shooting display, Prime Time kept their noses in front and held a 5 point lead at half time.

After half time, Reservoir Dogs established their running game through Datson and Steven, while Lister and Brack nailed jumpshots from everywhere. Prime Time struggled to establish any system as a result of having too many people on the bench and trying to give everyone a go.

The Dogs were able to have the game tied at 3 quarter time and had all the momentum. Prime Time just couldn't click and Reservoir Dogs ran out 4 point winners.

2ND SEMI FINAL

DV OF OLD 77 d AND 1 67

Dan Cullinan had proclaimed that DV were the team to beat and And 1 weren't going to get in their way. Danny says a lot of things, but this time he was right.

The game was one of the most physical games so far this season. Cullinan and Rob Chapelle went at it hard inside. Both players gave no quarter, but it was Chapelle who for the second week in a row, allowed a smaller opponent to get inside his head when it counted.

Mike Petridis, for so much of the season, the top scorer in the league, was held to a season low 8 points by Warwick Straw in a match up that saw both players foul out. Chris Moore started hot, but an ankle injury forced him to the sidelines. And 1's outside shots weren't dropping and the younger DV ran the lanes as often as possible.

Adam Moore was by far the dominant player of the game scoring 38 points from everywhere. Adsy played D, rebounded, passed and shot at all the right times. Going into next weeks Grand Final, Reservoir Dogs will have their hands full with the white hot Moore.
