LISTER AND PETRIDIS TAKE OUT MVP

In a nailbiter, John Lister and Mick Petridis tied to narrowly edge out Brett Dobson for the LTU Men's Championship MVP Award.

For much of the season, Petridis' hot shooting had him as the hot favourite for MVP. Petridis averaged 29 points over 9 regular season games including a top score of 37 against DV of Old earlier in the season. Sharp shooting Petridis also averaged over 5 3 pointers per game.

Not to be outdone, Lister showed that he was every bit as dangerous with his deadly long range shooting. Lister averaged 26.2 points over 10 regular season games including a highest score of 43 against league whipping boy, Ya Mum.

Both Petridis and Lister are sure to make some noise in the 2006 Big V Championship season for Werribee and Eltham respectively.
