CAPTAIN CROALLY INTERVIEWS .... PETER BRACK

JC: Hello Bracky. How are you?

PB: I am good, why are you trying to sound all formal and that?

JC: Doesn't matter...anyway as you are now aware you are the first person to be interviewed on the LTU basketball website. How does that make you feel?

PB: Umm not too sure...next question....

JC: The legend of Peter Brack is a cultural phenomenon. Most people believe the legend began when you first moved in to Glenn College; however we both know that it began much much earlier when you were interviewed by esteemed basketball Magazine One on One. Can you tell us a bit about that?

PB: Sure. I was a part of the Adidas ABC Future Legends camp where talented juniors were invited to come and workout.

JC: My invite must have got lost in the mail. Tell us a bit about Andrew Bogut-how much better than him were you at this stage?

PB: Hahaha...he was pretty good, big but still a bit clumsy. Luckily for him I didn't embarrass him too much when he matched up on me.

JC: So how would you rate/explain your progression to playing for the Horsham Hornet's in Division 2 of the Big V League, the largest semi-professional league in the southern hemisphere?

PB: I would say it probably isn't ideal, probably somewhat of a gradual decline. I think when I turned 18 my priorities changed a bit and drinking and women played a larger part in my life. I guess that is what Uni does to you doesn't it?? (laughing)

JC: You were known as the Big Man on Campus. What are some of your finest memories of life in Glenn College.?

PB: To be honest man my highlights were Uni Games. The Drinking there is unparalleled and the women...well what can I say??

JC: Stories abound around campus about females leaving your Glenn college room, at all hours of the day and night. Is this true??

PB: Hahaha...yes it is true. .

JC: You have played uni games. How many times did you represent LTU?

PB: 4

JC: Of those what was your most memorable?

PB: Adelaide nationals in 2002 and Adelaide qualifiers in 2003.

JC: Funnily enough it was the same time I was playing in the team.

PB: Yeah funny correlation that!

JC: Ok Bracky can you please stop using big words, just keep it simple so I can keep up with you.

You have played with some interesting characters-Danny, Egan, Chippa, MacDaddy and have been coached by Sarge. Who has had the biggest influence on your basketball career?

PB: Egan.

JC:At Uni you studied OT. I'm guessing that doesn't stand for Over Time. What do you do for a crust now?

PB: I am an Occupational Therapist at the Victorian Spinal Cord Service.

JC: That must be a confronting yet rewarding job-what aspect of it gives you the most satisfaction?

PB: Seeing the guys there gradually improve over time, and also getting a few of them around for a piss-on at my house was good fun too!

JC:I would assume that young males would make up the majority of your patients. Do you have any advice for other young males in the community?

PB: Yeah wear a seat belt. And don't dive into rivers. Especially if you don't know how fricking deep it is. Seriously, it's amazing how often people do it!

PB: Our team is traveling up to Horsham this weekend. How many people do we expect to turn up to watch us take the "W"?

PB: At least 200 man, and as you know they can be pretty feral.

JC: You have a habit of single handedly destroying our team. I would expect Dev to match up on you-what are your thoughts on him as a player?

PB: He is a dude, he can be pretty easy to score on though.

JC: Now Dev is pretty fit, but looks hungry-I hope you guys put a good spread on for us after the match.

PB: Yeah he is much skinnier than me-lucky bastard...,but hey, I have got more hair. The ladies up there love cooking so there should be good food for you guys..

JC: It is Forbesy's 30th Birthday this weekend. Will you be taking the boys out on the town after the game?

PB: Yeah? Forbesy is turning 30? I thought he was older. Has he finished his degree yet??

JC: Not Sure.

PB: But I will be taking you guys out, Should be big.

JC: Good, Thanks for your time Bracky. I hope you lose.

PB: By the way Croally, you are a much better interviewer than the guy from One on One, and you have never sounded as fluent as you do in this transcript.

JC: Cheers Smartarse
