Mixed Basketball at La Trobe

 

Mixed Basketball is played at the La Trobe University Indoor Sports Centre in Bundoora. All competitions are run on a Monday night after 5:00pm. The competitions run during the University Semester, generally, March-June and August-October. Seasons last for 10 rounds before finals begin. Please see the bottom of the page for the special mixed rules.

Costs

Team Registration is $70 per team.

Team sheet fees are $50 per game.

 

La Trobe University Basketball Club is able to provide singlets for all teams should they be needed.

There are no forfeit fees for a notified forfeit, minimum 2 days notice.

Unnotified forfeits will incur a fee of $50

 

 

Mixed Basketball Rules

FIBA rules apply with the following constraints applicable to the mixed competition

1. Teams are made up of 5 players with a maximum of 3 players of one sex on the court at any one time. A team not meeting this requirement ten minutes after the official starting time will forfeit the game.
2. At the North end of the court, only females may enter the key area. At the south end of the court, only males may enter the key area.
3. Each player may only score a maximum of 10 points. Any scores made by a player who has scored more than 10 points will not count. All players may score up to 20 points when all members of a team have scored 10 points each.
