THINGS TO KNOW 2 - NTL 2013

NATIONAL TOUCH LEAGUE 2013

THINGS TO KNOW - 2

WHERE - National Touch League 2013 will be held at Coffs Harbour.

WHEN – Travel to Coffs on Tuesday, March 12th for competition to commence on Wednesday. Competition will finish on Saturday afternoon.

TRAVEL – Teams are responsible for travel arrangements.

ACCOMMODATION - Accommodation has been booked From Tuesday 12th to Saturday 16th only. Any teams or players who will to stay Saturday night to attend the official function and travel home Sunday MUST organize the last night stay. Sharks teams will stay at the Park Beach Holiday Park, Ocean Parade, Coffs Harbour. Extra accommodation has been booked at Hoey Moey and Pacific Towers should the numbers be needed.

Elite 8 Open Men and Open Women will stay at the Pacific Towers.

LEVY COST – Sharks Levy has been $690 for five years. There have been increases in that time and SQBD has subsidized to costs involved. Unfortunately the levy will rise to *$730.00. (Final calculations are in progress)

MEALS – Most meals are provided. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at the grounds and your evening meal is also provided at the Hoey Moey. Teams will be given a daily menu to complete and advise what time would suit the team.

LAUNDRY – A local laundry will clean your team uniform after each day of play. This is for playing uniform only. Unfortunately many teams abused this service previously and expected full laundry services. Shirts, shorts and socks are only permitted.

PAYMENT PLAN – For many years Sharks has assisted players with a payment plan. Unfortunately this service was abused as well. Sharks are still chasing some payments dating back 3 to 4 years and in some cases there have been people who have then stated they were retiring from rep touch and would never pay their commitments. For this reason, there will be no payment plans available for any person. All fees MUST be paid before departure.

There have been many occasions where the threat of teams being short of players would result in a plan being offered. This will NOT happen. If a team is short because a player has not paid their fees, then the team WILL be short.

PAYMENT SYSTEMS – NO CASH – All players are responsible for paying their own fees directly to SQBD. Invoices will be issued immediately after the compulsory training day on December 2nd. Players can pay any part of their fees from that date by:

  • Internet Banking
  • Direct payment at Commonwealth Bank
  • Credit Card/Eftpos facilities at office at any time
  • Credit Card/Eftpos facilities at Compulsory training days.

UNIFORMSamples and all stock items will be available for purchase at Palm Beach on November 30th. No uniform orders will be taken after that date.

SHADOW PLAYERS – There is always a large number of team changes from the time the teams are selected to attending the event. Shadows are encouraged to attend all training, particularly with the Open teams as all Sharks players are reserve players for Queensland South Stingrays.
